Israel’s Riviera in the Red Sea

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare on MyspaceShare via email

Eilat Red Sea At Israel’s Red Sea Riviera on the Gulf of Eilat an unforgettable diving experience awaits with a wonder-sea of corals and exotic fish. For those who enjoy the physical endurance of hiking, the desert cliffs around Eilat and in the Negev and the forested ridges of the Upper Galilee will cast images of nature’s beauty. Also include cycling, off-road touring and rappelling to the list of amazing adventure experiences Israel has to offer. Even those snowy heights are not one-dimensional: in the winter they boast ski-runs with all the amenities, but when the snow melts, Mount Hermon becomes a hiker’s delight with trails to charming alpine-like meadows and shady streams. Whether your college student traveling with friends, on a family trip or on a romantic honeymoon, lodgings come in all shapes and sizes, from fine international chains to budget hotels.

The History of Israel

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare on MyspaceShare via email

The age of most cities in Israel are counted not in decades or in centuries, but in millennia. The ingenuity and complexity of some of these historical gems have won them a place on the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage List. Jerusalem, having an unparallel highlight that is both historical and spiritual is Israel’s biggest city and capital city. To gain an insight in Israel’s pioneering days visit the restored 19th century villages like Rosh Pina in the Upper Galilee and Zichron Ya’akov on Mount Carmel. Shops along these streets feature local arts and crafts that make the best gifts. They are often artist-owned as well, which holds the promise of getting to know some very interesting folks. Experience the history of Israel with one of our trips to holy land.

Tel Aviv an Urban Paradise to Indulge

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare on MyspaceShare via email

Tel Aviv Israel Want to indulge in your urban taste? Classified by geographers as a “world city,” Tel Aviv offers museums, opera, theater and dance, fine restaurants with international cuisines, its own beautifully restored 19th-century quarter, Neve Tzedek and even antiquities, in the form of its “older sister” – Jaffa, which also has galleries galore. And if it’s quality beach time you’re looking for, Tel Aviv’s Mediterranean beaches are within walking distance from most hotels. As for other beaches, there’s variety there, too: the sand on Ashkelon’s fine-grained shores has been buffeted by the waves all the way from the Nile Delta, while in the north, rocky and romantic coves sprout lovely wildflowers in their season. For the more adventure driven individuals take an underwater tour of the Roman antiquities at the Caesarea beach. For fresh-water fun, head for Tiberias and the Kinneret.

The Jewish Heritage tour was so awesome! Israel Tourism Consultant provided a well organized trip which allowed us to learn so much about Israel, that we will remember for a lifetime. We saw all the events on the itinerary and our guide was knowledgeable about the history of Israel. We were comfortable and had a very nice group of travelers with us, and enough time to ourselves to relax at the pool! Our accommodations were excellent. I’m giving your e-mail and information to two friends who are interested in a tour to Israel. You were attentive to all the details, which made the trip that much better. Thank you so much!

At first when we thought of planning a trip to Egypt to Israel, we were very hesitant of such a long trip over different countries, however the minute I called and received help from your Representative Chas, things could not been more easy. The trip and tour went with out a glitch and we were well informed prior to our departure with Chas providing a wealth of information for our trip. We had excellent and cordial service from the time we arrived at the airport to the minute we departed on our way home. Thank you!

The perfect place for Bar Bat Mitzvahs the Hurva Synagogue in Old Jerusalem

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare on MyspaceShare via email

The Hurva Synagogue- also known as “Hurvat Rabbi Yehudah he-Hasid” is a historic synagogue located in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. The synagogue was founded in the early 18th century by followers of Judah he-Hasid, but it was destroyed a few years later in 1721. In 1864, the Perushim rebuilt the synagogue, and although officially named the “Beis Yaakov Synagogue”, it retained its name as the Hurva. It became Jerusalem’s main Ashkenazic synagogue, until the Arab Legion reduced it to rubble during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. Recently reconstruction has begun on the Hurva Synagogue. For years it was a memorial in the form of a giant arch against the blue sky – a reminder of the synagogue’s shattered dome. Hence it has become a symbolic location for Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies.

Celebrate your Family Bar Bat Mitzvahs at the Tower of David Museum

The historic courtyard and gardens of the “Citadel” can offer a spectacular location for private Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies. This is an ancient citadel located near the Jaffa Gate entrance to the Old City of Jerusalem. Built to strengthen a strategically weak point in the Old City’s defenses, the citadel was constructed during the second century BCE and subsequently destroyed and rebuilt by, in succession, the Christian, Muslim, Mamluk, and Ottoman conquerors of Jerusalem. It contains important archaeological finds dating back 2,700 years, and is a popular venue for benefit events, craft shows, concerts, and sound-and-light performances.

Western Wall Tunnels a sacred location for Bar Bat Mitzvahs in Israel

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare on MyspaceShare via email

The Western Wall Tunnels – Provides a very meaningful and sacred experience to families celebrating Bar/Bat Mitzvah and is adjacent to the Western Wall, and located under buildings of the Old City of Jerusalem, Israel. “Warren’s Gate” lies about 150 feet into the tunnel. This sealed-off entrance has been turned into a small synagogue called “The Cave”, by Rabbi Yehuda Getz. Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremonies held here could be a very sacred and religious experience since it is the closest point a Jew can get to the Holy of Holies, assuming it was located at the traditional site under the Dome of the Rock. The tunnel exposes a total length of 485 m of the wall, revealing the methods of construction and the various activities in the vicinity of the Temple Mount.

Southern Wall another Great Location for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs with Israeli Friends and Families

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare on MyspaceShare via email

The Southern Wall – is also an ideal location for Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s, and also represents an important location like the Western Wall, with both walls joining and being par of the Temple Mount. Similar to the Western Wall, Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s can be practiced here in accordance with your family and rabbi’s traditions. The men, women, and children celebrate and pray together, while family and members of your congregation sit on the Hulda Steps. The ancient Hulda Steps are the original stairs leading to the second rebuilt Temple, with a spectacular and memorable view of the Judean Hills, and the Mount of Olives. Excavations on the south side of the temple mount revealed important Herodian findings, including the base of “Robinson” arch, a paved street, ritual baths and shops that were used by the visitors to the 2nd temple. The Robinson arch was actually part of a wide pathway that led the pilgrims from the street level, up through a staircase, cross over the street, then into the southwestern entrance of the temple mount. This was one of the three bridges that led into the temple.

Western Wall Best Locations for Bar/Bat Mitzvahs in Israel

Share on TwitterShare on TumblrSubmit to StumbleUponSave on DeliciousDigg ThisSubmit to redditShare on MyspaceShare via email

The Western Wall is a remnant of the wall that surrounded the Jewish Temple, and the most popular location for families in Israel for Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s. One of the most sacred sites in Judaism, and is located in the Old City of Jerusalem, at the foot of the Temple Mount. Also known as the Wailing Wall, it was the last of the Temple’s enclosure that was left standing after thBar Mitzvahse Roman destruction in the year 70 CE. Following Israel’s victory during the 1967 Six-Day War, the Western Wall came under Israeli control, and became the central focus of modern-day Jewish beliefs. The large plaza created in 1967 is used for worship and public gatherings, including Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebrations and the swearing-in ceremonies of newly full-fledged soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces. Chabad activists stationed at the site regularly promote the Tefillin Campaign. Tens of thousands of Jews flock to the wall on the Jewish holidays, and particularly on the fast of Tisha B’Av, which marks the destruction of the Temple and on  Jerusalem Day, which commemorates the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967 and the delivery of the Wall into Jewish hands.
