The dead sea is a must for everybody visiting israel! i dont understand why people would avoid it. But you definitely missed one activity for adrenaline junkies, military tourism. I went on a tour just recently and it was so cool. over a few days we shot a bunch of different guns, threw grenades, went skydiving, and learned krav maga. It was all instructed and overseen by ex israeli special forces officers, and safety was their number 1 concern. it was an amazing trip, especially for somebody who has no previous military experience. basically, we did all the cool things that the military people get to do, without the bad parts. this is the company i went with www.lionops.com

Egypt is synonymous with Pharaohs, the pyramids, temples and the
antiquities from ancient civilisations. And at the centre of these
great civilisations lies the Nile River that has influenced their
economic, social life, politics and religion.

The Dead Sea is a phenomenal thing to view. I went four years ago and was amazed at the mere sight of it. I took home chunks of salt as gifts for my friends! So cool!

Just a question...I was watching a documentary last night and it briefly covered this particular civilization (the Shivta). I noticed as it began to show these swirl-like carvings on the walls of this structure, and that it looked eerily familiar. I have tried to get a better look, but there isn't much to find on this subject to verify what I think I saw, so I thought it would be best to speak up to a professional. What I saw seemed to me to be a pattern in the swirls...specifically, a fingerprint. Like I said I have not seen the carvings myself and can't be sure, but as I looked I became CONVINCED that was what I was seeing. Perhaps worth a look?
