Caesarea / Megiddo / Haifa / Acre
Every morning prior to departure for your Christian tour of Israel, you will enjoy a taste of Israel's culture with an Israeli breakfast buffet. After breakfast you will depart Tel Aviv and drive North along the Israeli Mediterranean coastal plain to Caesarea (Acts 9.30, Acts 10 24-48), capital of Judea under the Romans. While in Caesarea you will visit many excavations of the ancient city, including the Roman theater (where every five years the city hosted major sports competitions, gladiator games, and theatrical productions overlooking the Mediterranean Sea) and the aqueducts. Next you will continue to what is identified as the site of Armageddon, Megiddo (1 Kings 4.28, 9, 15, 2 Kings 23, 29 & Revel. 16.16), and tour through the many archaeological excavations. The next stop will be the beautiful port city of Haifa, which is the third largest city in Israel and is nestled on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. On this escorted holy land tour, you will visit places such as the world famous Persian Gardens at the Bahai Temple. From Haifa, drive to Acre (Micah 1.10), capital of the Crusaders for more than a century. Visit the ancient city and harbour before continuing east across the plains of the Galilee to Kibbutz Hotel Lavi, not far from the Sea of Galilee. There you will enjoy a delicious dinner and rest overnight. After dinner, enjoy an evening lecture by one of the Kibbutz members about life in a Kibbutz.
Day 4
Tiberias / Capernaum / Banias
Start the day with a short walking tour of the Kibbutz grounds, afterwards you will drive up to Tiberias and take a boat ride across to Capernaum (Matt. 4.13 13.54, 17.24, Luke 7, Mark 1.2, John 4.46-54), located on the northern shore of the Sea of Galilee (Capernaum is cited in the Gospel of Luke where it was reported to have been the home of the apostles Peter, Andrew, James and John). While there you will visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. After you will proceed to Tabgha (Matt. 13, Mark .33-45, & John 21), which is the site of the Church of Multiplication of the loaves and fish and its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to the Mount of the Beatitudes (Matt. 5, 6, 7, 8), where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Banias Spring and Waterfall (Matt. 16.13 and Mark 8.27), where Jesus was recognized as The Messiah by His Disciples. Tour the Golan Heights, with its valleys, grazing land and snow capped mountains Return to Kibbutz Lavi for dinner and overnight.
Day 5
Nazareth / Beit Shean
Next on your Christian Holy Land tour you’ll begin the day with a drive to Jesus’ childhood town, Nazareth (Luke 1.26, 4.16-29, Matthew 2.23) via Cana of Galilee (John 2.1-11). In Nazareth, you’ll visit key Biblical sites such as the Church of the Annunciation, St. Joseph’s Workshop and Mary’s Well. Continue to Beit She’an, one of the ancient Decapolis cities (Mark 5.20, 7.31), and on the way you’ll stop at the Jordan River Baptism site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Beit She’an is the city where Saul and his son Jonathan were nailed to the walls (1st Samuel 31.10). Judges 1.27 also mentions Beit She’an. Continue south along the shores of the Jordan River. Passing Jericho, you’ll proceed westward and climb to the Golden City of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Take a walk through the Cardo, which was the main street of Jerusalem 2000 years ago, while viewing the Temple Mount and the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, held to be the path that Jesus walked, carrying his cross, on the way to his crucifixion. Continue to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Matt. 27. 33-57, 28.10) which as been an important Christian pilgrimage destination since at least the 4th century, as the purported site of the resurrection of Jesus.
