Experience a grand journey of a life time in Israel, the land of Milk and HoneyA place of inspiration, a place where it all began, and where history is legend. This general sight seeing Tour of Israel is a grand Tour as the name suggest. Arrive in Tel Aviv for overnight. Optional extra night available to those whom want to spend a day in the city that never stops. Start the day by traveling over the coastal fertile lands to Caesarea, an awe striking ancient Roman port hosting a large amphitheatre built by King Herod. Continue via Druze villages to Haifa, where the next day you will experience a breathtaking panoramic view of the Bay, proceed to the golden domed Bahai Shrine to visit the exotic gardens. Get to know Jewish Mysticism in Safed, where you will visit ancient synagogues, continue to the Golan Heights. | Next is Nazareth to visit the Church of Annunciation and from there a drive to Beit Shean, to see the remains of the mosaic floor and ancient ruins. Rest in Jerusalem where the next day you will appreciate the Golden City. Visit the tomb of King David on Mt. Zion and the room of the Last Supper. See the Jewish Quarter, Roman Cardo, Herodian Quarter and continue to the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus carried His Cross. Continue to the Church of Holy Sepulchre, and proceed to the Mount of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of the Old City. The next day brings New Jerusalem experiences with Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the victims of the Holocaust. Continue to the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed. Stand next to a miniature model of Jerusalem as it was 2000 years ago, and finish the day visiting the Kenesset, Israel’s Parliament, and a Hebrew University. Drive mirroring an ancient route in the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, stop at Qumran to visit the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, and continue to the amazing fortress of Massada where you ascend by cable car and tour the ancient fortress. Descend Massada, and time and weather permitting we will have the opportunity to float on the Dead Sea. The next day is at leisure in Jerusalem to explore the Golden City. Travel south to Negev desert visit the Israel’s Air Force Museum, visit Sde Boker, Ben Gurion’s hut and overlook the magnificent Zin valley. Stop at Mitzpeh Ramon to crater, a geological wonder and continue to King Solomon’s pillars in Timna to see ancient wonders. Arrive at the Eilat where the next day you will have a day of leisure in the preferred vacation destination of Israeli’s or take an optional tour of Petra. The next day visit an underwater observatory, continue to Mamshit for a Camel ride and experience Bedouin culture. Return to Tel Aviv to prepare for your departure back home. | |

Welcome to Israel! Upon arrival into Ben Gurion International Airport, you are met and assisted by our airport representative and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem for overnight.

Jerusalem: Old City
Visit the Tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper on Mount Zion. Enter the walled city and walk through the newly restored Jewish Quarter. Visit the Roman Cardo, Herodian Quarter and continue to the Western Wall. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, proceed to Mount Scopus and then to the Mount of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of the Old City. Continue to Bethlehem*, stopping at Rachel’s Tomb and to visit the Church of the Nativity.

Day 4
Jerusalem: New City
Drive to the Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem to see the Chagall stained glass windows. Continue to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust and then to the Israel Museum. Visit the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are housed and the miniature model of Jerusalem as it was during the Second Temple period. View the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament, and the Givat Ram Campus of the Hebrew University.

Day 5
Qumran / Massada / Dead Sea
Drive through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, almost 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. Stop at Qumran to visit the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to Massada. Ascend by cable car and tour the ancient fortress where the Zealots made their last stand against the Romans before committing mass suicide in 73 AD. Descend by cable car, time and weather permitting, an opportunity will be provided to float on the Dead Sea.

Diaspora Museum / Caesarea / Druze villages
Depart Tel Aviv and drive to the Diaspora Museum for a visit. Proceed along the coastal plain to Caesarea, capital of Judea under the Romans. See the excavations of the Crusader city and the Roman port, aqueduct and the amphitheater that has been restored to its former glory as a concert venue. Continue via the Druze villages to Haifa.

Day 8
Haifa / Safed / Golan Heights
The tour of Haifa will begin at the summit of Mount Carmel where you will take in a breathtaking panoramic view of the Haifa Bay and Western Galilee. Continue on to the golden domed Bahai Shrine to visit the exotic Persian Gardens. Proceed to Safed, the center of Jewish mysticism, where you will visit the ancient synagogues and the artists’ colony. Continue to the Golan Heights to see the former Syrian bunkers, Kuneitra and the new Israeli town of Katzrin.

Day 9
Sea of Galilee / Nazareth
Start the day with a visit of Tiberias. Drive to Capernaum to see the ruins of the synagogue and octagonal Church of St. Peter and then proceed to Nazareth. Here you will visit the Church of the Annunciation. Drive via Beit Shean to Beit Alpha to see the remains of the mosaic floor of an ancient synagogue depicting the zodiac.

Transfer to your flight back to North America.
